Jon Cornatzer

Jon Cornatzer is an accomplished musician/banjoist from Clemmons, NC. Having cut his musical teeth playing in the rigorous regimen of the theme park scene and regional band circuit, he comes to Candlewyck bringing his strong banjo technique and punch. While growing up Jon listened to traditional banjo greats such as Earl Scruggs, Ralph Stanley, Don Reno and Bobby Thompson. Later he was exposed to the modernist styles of Bela Fleck, Pete Wernick, Terry Baucom, Scott Vestal, and Tony Trischka which he was able to incorporate into his own original voice on the instrument. He is a versitlie player with great technique, excellent time and a bright future.
